Keep the light out for restful nights

If you toss and turn during the night, you may want to take an herbal insomnia supplement such as Restalex PM from Herbal Groups, which may help you catch some Zs. Another thing you might want to do is look around your bedroom and see what you can do to eliminate as much light as possible, since according to the American Medical Association (AMA), that might be what is disturbing your rest.

The AMA recently released a report explaining that when you leave a light on at night, your body is unable to produce as much melatonin as it should. Melatonin is a natural hormone produced by the body that regulates sleep and wakefulness. Light disrupts the production of melatonin, and can leave people feeling tired in the morning.

So take a look around your bedroom. Are there many ways for light from the outside hallway or a streetlamp to get in? If so, you may want to put a towel in the door crack to keep light from entering your room, and invest in some heavy curtains to block out outside light.

Do you have any tips for keeping a bedroom dark at night?
