Anti-Aging, Diet and Weight Loss

Hit the gym to help keep the body and the brain in shape

Everyone wants to stay sharp and fit as they age, which is why many people take an herbal anti-aging supplement such as Naturally Young products from Herbal Groups. A recent study from the Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine in Japan suggests that another way to combat aging could be to exercise, since working out appears to help prevent Alzheimer's disease.

Scientists tested the effects of diet, exercise, and diet plus exercise on three groups of mice. They found that exercise was more effective than diet at reducing B-amyloid formation (a defining characteristic of Alzheimer's disease) and restoring memory loss.

"Based on the results in this research," suggested researcher Ayae Kinoshita, "exercise should be given priority to prevent Alzheimer's disease."

Regular physical activity has also been shown to help reduce the symptoms of arthritis in elderly individuals. These findings suggest that if you want to stay healthy into your golden years, you need to stay active. Walking, biking and swimming are all good low-impact exercises for older people.
