Researchers examined five different studies that focused on simple steps that people can take to improve their health and prevent illness. The scientists found that it can be surprisingly easy to stay healthy, as long as you keep these tips in mind.

First, the researchers said that they agree with studies that show that consuming fish oil may be beneficial to your health and can help reduce the risk of colorectal cancer. They found that individuals who ate large amount of fresh fish had a 12 percent reduced risk of colorectal cancer than those who did not.

Next, the scientists found that if you want to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, then you should be getting your teeth professionally cleaned regularly. Studies have shown that people who visit the dentist often had a lower incidence of myocardial infarction, stroke and total cardiovascular events than those who forego the dentist.

Finally, if you want to lose weight then you should turn to your doctor. According to the researchers, physicians in primary care practices can be as effective as weight loss clinics in helping the moderately obese lose weight.

The bottom line – visit the dentist and doctor and eat fish to help boost your health.
