Choose wisely, because ballpark snacks pack some serious calories

Are you planning on hitting the ballpark this summer? If so, then you may want to bring your own snacks before you find yourself needing an herbal diet pill, like Body Sculpt Rx from Herbal Groups. A recent article published on ESPN.com examined the calorie content of American ballpark fare, and found that healthy options are hard to find in a baseball stadium.
The news source sent a reporter to the new Yankee Stadium, where they list the nutritional information of each snack.
"I cringed as I located the chicken finger platter on the menu: 810 calories! That's right, nearly a whole day's worth of calories in one measly plate of food," reporter Sarah Spain wrote for the news source.
Some other high-calorie snacks included a salted pretzel which, at 488 calories, you'd need to spend an hour rock climbing to work off and stadium nachos, which may be more than 1,000 calories.
Health.com recommends that people search for healthier options at stadiums. For example, Fenway Park in Boston offers a turkey wrap and veggie burgers while PETCO Park in San Diego serves roasted tomato hummus and pita chips. So look for these choices, or start shopping for that herbal diet pill.
What are some of your favorite healthy ballpark options?
